Admissions are open in DGSE's Special Education Centers

The Directorate General of Special Education (DGSE) has opened admissions for the 2025-26 session, reaffirming its commitment to empowering persons with disabilities for an inclusive future.

The DGSE provides specialized education and rehabilitation services for individuals with hearing, visual, and physical impairments, as well as intellectually challenged children. The institution offers pre-vocational and vocational training, technical skill development, and a range of sports and recreational activities.

In addition to education, the DGSE focuses on rehabilitation services, including guidance and counseling, speech therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and music therapy. Medical and first aid services, along with assistive technology and supportive aids, are also available to facilitate learning and independence. Moreover, the institution provides sign language and Braille training for individuals with communication impairments.

The DGSE operates several specialized centers across Islamabad, catering to various disabilities. These include the National Special Education Centers for physically handicapped, visually impaired, and hearing-impaired children, as well as centers dedicated to children with developmental disorders.

Parents and guardians interested in enrolling their children can contact the respective centers for further details. The DGSE continues to work towards an inclusive society by equipping individuals with disabilities with the necessary skills and support to lead independent lives.
