Visually Impaired Persons Visit Pakistan Asaan Khidmat Centre to Promote Inclusive Public Service Delivery

Islamabad, 21 October, 2026: The Pakistan Asaan Khidmat Centre (PAKC), established by the National Information Technology Board (NITB) with the support of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, welcomed a group of persons with visual impairments in a special visit aimed at highlighting the importance of inclusive public services and equal access to government facilities.

During the visit, participants were introduced to the Centre's integrated service delivery model, which provides more than 60 government services under one roof, including services offered by NADRA, the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Islamabad Police, and several other public sector organizations.

The visit emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring that all citizens, regardless of disability, can access public services with dignity, convenience, and independence. It also provided an opportunity to better understand the needs of persons with visual impairments and to promote an inclusive environment where accessibility remains a key priority.

The initiative reflects the shared commitment of the Ministry of IT & Telecommunication and NITB to making public services more accessible, citizen-centric, and inclusive for everyone.
