Ramazan Gift Distribution Ceremony Held at National Special Education Centre for Hearing Impaired Children
Islamabad, March 12, 2025 – Ms Wajiha Qamar Minister of State M/o FE & PT Lauds the revamping initiatives taken by Directorate General of Special Education. Ms Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training paid a visit to the National Special Education Centre for hearing impaired Children H-9/4 and Directorate General of Special Education (DGSE), G-8, Islamabad. The worthy Minister of State, MoFEPT lauded the initiatives and efforts taken by Directorate General of Special Education. She ensured her optimal support in making DGSE reach its goals. She said that all special children are sacred gifts of Allah, the Gracious and it is our duty to turn them into national assets by provision of right based direction and facilities. She avowed to political commitment of the Government of Pakistan for holistic progress of special persons. Madam State Minister also distributed Ramazan Gift packs to enrolled special children of DGSE at National Special Education Centre , H-9/4, Islamabad, which were organized in collaboration with “Allah Wally Trust”.
Mr Asif Iqbal Asif, Director General, DGSE presented a detailed briefing on the revamping initiatives taken for special children’s education and rehabilitation. These include Prime Minister Meal Programme, Enrollment Enhancement Drive and standardization of Pakistan Sign Language to meet the international standards. DGSE is currently focusing on introducing high tech virtual classrooms, rehabilitation of National Library and Resource Centre well equipped with Braille and chrome books, latest IT accessibility tools. He affirmed that special people will be provided accessible transport to reach this centre.
