DGSE Under MOFEPT Celebrates Youm-e-Tashakur with Inspiring Art Exhibition "The Silent Expression".
Islamabad, May 16, 2025 — In a moving celebration of Youm-e-Tashakur, the Directorate General of Special Education under the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MOFEPT) organized a special art exhibition titled "The Silent Expression" at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) on Friday the 16th of May. The exhibition highlighted the artistic talents of hearing-impaired children, whose expressive and vibrant artworks conveyed powerful stories of resilience, hope, and creativity. The event underscored the belief that art transcends language and that every individual, regardless of ability, has a unique voice worth hearing. Speaking at the event, Ms. Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for Education, emphasized the importance of inclusive platforms in nurturing hidden talents and promoting equal opportunities. Ms. Farah Naz Akbar, Parliamentary Secretary for Education, also graced the occasion and praised the children’s courage and artistic brilliance. The exhibition not only celebrated the spirit of gratitude but also reinforced the government’s commitment to inclusive education and the empowerment of differently-abled youth through creative expression.
