Nestlé Pakistan Explores Potential Collaboration with Directorate General of Special Education

On the kind referral from the worthy Federal Secretary, Federal Education & Professional Training (FE&PT), representatives of Nestlé Pakistan from Lahore, visited the Directorate General of Special Education and held a detailed consultative meeting with the Director General, Special Education.
During the meeting, the DG shared an overview of ongoing initiatives and interventions across special education institutions.
In response, Nestlé Pakistan proposed potential areas of collaboration, particularly in the domain of teacher and parent training focused on nutrition awareness, food management, and healthy meal planning for children with special needs, especially within low-income contexts.
Nestlé also proposed possible support for capacity building and infrastructure enhancement, including the establishment of nutrition resource rooms equipped with educational aids.
With regard to extracurricular development, while play areas are already being developed through existing initiatives, it was discussed that Nestlé could consider supporting the provision of adaptive and specialized play equipment.
It was mutually agreed that Nestlé’s team would conduct follow-up visits to selected special education centers to better assess on-ground needs and inform future planning. Accordingly, visits to two SE centers National Special Education Centre For Physically Handicapped Children ,G-8/4 and National Training Centre for Special Persons G-9/2 have been scheduled for tomorrow.
The onsite visits will further augment setting the direction of collaboration between Nestle Pakistan and DGSE.
