Signing Ceremony of Marrakesh Treaty for Visually Impaired Persons Held at Aiwan-e-Sadr

A momentous occasion unfolded at Aiwan-e-Sadr as the Directorate General of Special Education, Ministry of Human Rights, in collaboration with the Intellectual Property Organization (IPO), Ministry of Commerce, organized the signing ceremony of the "Marrakesh Treaty for Visually Impaired Persons." Held on December 12, 2023, the event marked a pivotal step towards fostering inclusivity and accessibility for visually impaired individuals.

Noteworthy was the enthusiastic participation of one hundred students from the National Special Education Centre for Visually Impaired Children in Islamabad. The Marrakesh Treaty, a global initiative addressing copyright exceptions to improve access to published works for the visually impaired, took center stage.
